Are you in a rut when it comes to sending gifts to children? It’s time to send them something more imaginative than a greeting card with cash. If you want a creative gift idea that will open new worlds, choose the Coin of the Month Club with genuine world coins and geography cards.

The educational gift club aimed at kids ages 7-12 follows the Coin of the Month Club’s “spokeskid,” Anna Windwrite, as she travels around the globe in her faithful airplane named Charlie in search of the best coins to share with kids in their monthly subscriptions. Anna and Charlie’s exploits are captured and shared in her online journal. Kids can visit the website and read about Anna and Charlie as they search for great world coins to share.

“This is a way for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older siblings—anyone who has kids in their life—to present not only a neat educational gift, but a little part of them each month when that kid’s package arrives,” says Jim Bolone, Coin of the Month Club’s founder. “People can download a gift card right on the site, print it out, and send it as an advance notice that the child in their life will soon be receiving a Coin of the Month Club membership.”

A Coin of the Month Club Delivers

Beginning with month one, a child receives a coin, geography card, a letter from Anna and Charlie, a magnifying glass, coin pouch, and official club decal. Succeeding months bring another world coin and its geography fact card. Each month, kids will delight in the colorful fact-filled cards, which highlight Anna and Charlie’s adventures.

Coin of the Month Club subscriptions are available in 1, 3, and 6 month, or 1 year deliveries. As an added bonus, annual subscriptions also include a special 4th-century Roman bronze coin.

“This is something more than just value added,” explains Bolone. “It’s really about possessing a piece of ancient history in an authentic Roman coin, and it’s a bonus to a gift for a kids from people who care enough to provide some real fun and interactive learning every month.”

  1. This is such an awesome gift. I’ve got to order some of these up for my nephews.

  2. I don’t know how excited my kids would be about a coin of the month. But I know my dad would love it, he has been collecting coins since he was a kid and that was back in the 1950’s. I may have to think about getting this for him for X-mas. 🙂

  3. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Beware, I also thought this was a great gift and ordered it for my nephew more than a month ago and he still has not received anything but my credit card was charged the day I placed the order. In trying to follow-up with the company, the email address on the website does not work and emails get bounced back as undeliverable and there has been no response to comments I posted on their webpage or a voicemail I left. BEWARE!!

  4. Coin of the Month Club extends its sincere apology to the writer. We have since expressed due diligence and have made the shipment ready. Our shipments begin the month following each order and continue monthly until the end of the subscription cycle. We hope our actions faithfully represent what we believe our website is all about: kids, coins, geography, and fun. Thank you for helping us be better for you.

Thanks for stopping by, Jim, and clarifying the shipping policies. A coin club is a fun gift for kids (of ALL ages), but it’s good to know that ordering in advance is a must!

Many “of the month” clubs only ship out once a month, so it can feel like a long time before that first order arrives. 🙂
